Micro-Epsilon infrared temperature sensors are designed for measuring surface temperatures from -50°C up to 1800°C. The measurement uses the infrared radiation of an object. As the measurement is non-contacting, the devices are free from wear and tear and are therefore perfect for reliable and long-term employment. Selectable models and optical units permit installation at a variety of distances to the surface. This allows measurements to be made from a safe distance to the target in critical applications.

Unlike the infrared handhelds, stationary infrared thermometers are often used for quality assurance in manufacturing lines. Due to the broad range of IR temperature sensors and the possibility of adapting the infrared temperature sensors to the measurement task, both retrofitting of existing manufacturing equipment and equipping new lines is possible in close cooperation with OEM customers in the field of mechanical engineering.
